HOW TO GET THERE
The León-Guanajuato airport is about 90 minutes from the center of San Miguel de Allende. Airlines such as Continental and American serve the airport, as do major Mexican carriers such as Mexicana and Aeroméxico. Nonstop service is available from California and Texas, but East Coast travelers have to make connections through major hubs like Dallas and Houston. A taxi from the airport to San Miguel de Allende costs between $70 and $90 each way. Two major transportation companies are Viajes San Miguel (415 152 2537, www.viajessanmiguel.com) and Polanco Tours (415 152 4193). Travel can also be arranged by bus from Mexico City from Terminal Norte. The journey takes roughly four hours, with a stop in the town of Querétaro. Splurge and take the Primera Plus service, which gets you on a more modern vehicle and is offered six times daily. Additionally, the bus line AeroPlus (55 5786 9357) departs from the Mexico City airport for the town of Querétaro roughly every hour. From there, you can catch a public bus to San Miguel. They depart three times per hour

It was with great pleasure when the Rotary Club of Mill Valley, California selected Casa de Angel for their stay. Everything is done with the highest standard, beautifully decorated and comes with a wonderful staff including Daniel Hernandez and his mother Gracia, who provided intersting and wonderful breakfasts each day. Nothing was too much trouble ..a wonderful time was had by all.

THREE WEEKS OF BLISS:
In Jun-Jul 2007, We stayed at the Casa for three weeks. As Grand parents we invited our daughter and her husband and three grandkids, age 3, 6, and 8 years to join us. We had the best of times. Daniel took us on three day trips to famous historic places; Daniel's mother Gracia (she lives across the street) is a wonderful cook and made many authentic Mexican meals for us; the Chili Rellanos were our favorites. San Miguel had an amazing effect on all of us. After a few days you didn't care if the office called or not; nor did you worry about doing nothing at all. Life was just plain simple and fun; live, eat, drink, and sleep. That's San Mike. And, the three year old didn't want to leave either; he cried all the way to the airport.

WOW! What a fabulous casa! Ten of us shared Casa de Angel for the week of August 4th-11th, 2007, and we had a magnificent week. The casa is so comfortable and roomy that even with ten of us we all had plenty of personal space when we wanted it. The casa is beautifully appointed and very homey, with a wonderful kitchen and dining area, and two really nice living areas. One of our favorite spots was the upstairs terrace, with its breathtaking views of downtown San Miguel, a great hot tub, lots of very comfy lounge chairs, an outdoor kitchen for grilling, and a fire pit to take the edge off a cool evening. Needless to say, the ten of us spent a lot of time on the terrace. Gracia cooked all our gourmet breakfasts and two evening meals. She is gracious and very efficient, and gets help from her beautiful daughter, Beatriz. They are a dynamic duo in that kitchen! But the person you want to have as your closest and best friend is Daniel, the house manager, Gracia's son. Talk about a guy who can handle anything that comes his way!! We counted on him for our transportation to and from Leon Airport, our day trips to Guanajuato and Dolores Hidalgo, and
anything else that came up. He speaks wonderful English, always knew where to take us for a scrumptious meal, has a great sense of humor, is a very good driver, and is a perfect gentleman! And he'll wait for you gals while you do all your shopping!!!We could not have asked for more on this magical week in San Miguel de Allende.
